Events in Kerry Our 1st event planned for Tralee is coming up next month. Friday 19th April at the Imperial Hotel, in Denny Street.. A lot of interest is being shown at the moment. Don't be disappointed at the last minute. Get your booking in early.

Our Sunday events are usually scheduled to begin promptly at 7.30 with registration at 7.00pm. Midweek events are a half an hour later with check in time at 7.30 and the event starting promptly at 8.00pm.

The speed dating should take about 2 hours including a half time break of 15 minutes. The real serious business of marking your card usually takes place now and can take up to a half an hour. People are usually in high spirits after the event. The night is still early enough and many head for the bar or whatever and very often the craic can be mighty.

You now know at least fifteen other people so you shouldn’t have much of a problem mixing in the bar. This can often be the best part of the evening.

Cork International Airport Hotel (21st March 2010)
We held our 1st event here last Sunday for 30s & 40s and we felt that it turned out to be a minor success. The decor is very unusual here with an aviation theme running right through the hotel. The lighting is also very psychedelic and reminiscint of the 60s. Definitely worth a visit.
There were a number of factors that contributed to the success of the night.
We felt that the function room bar was very intimate and created a nice buzz before, during the break and after the speeddating.
Most of the group stayed on afterwards. Some in the function room bar & others in the main bar and eventually all meeting again in the main bar. It was obviously too much trouble to go to town but it helped for a very sociable evening.
A word of thanks to the staff who really went out of their way to help and especially to the bar staff who gave great waiter service during the event.

Waterford and the South East.

We would like to take this opportunity to say a few words about events in Waterford. We held our 1st event in Waterford on Thursday 31st January '08 for 30's & 40's. The event was sold out and it was a great night. We've been there many times since and we always get a great welcome when we return.
We were back there again last Tuesday 16/3/10 on the eve of St. Patricks day and as usual we had a very enjoyable stay. Numbers were a little low on the night but there were plenty of matches, no complaints and everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves.
PS. A word of thanks to the hotel staff & managers on duty who always pull out all the stops to help us. The room is always great and table service provided is always fantastic & very much appreciated.

We are looking forward to returning to Waterford in May 2010 for a 20s & 30s event.

Just a few words about Kilkenny

We held our 1st ever event in Kilkenny on Friday night 6th Feb'09 at the River Court Hotel and it turned out a great night night after all. We were a little worried about low numbers a few days before the event but except for a few minor problems every thing went smooth enough on the night.
We've been back to the Rivercourt on a number of occasions since and all were a great success.

We've had nothing but praise for events held in Kilkenny. ( See Kilkenny Feedback)

We intend to return to Kilkenny or midlands early in the New Year 2010

Helen. Well you know what? I never had such a great time. I've been laughing & smiling to myself all day thinking about last night. I really, really enjoyed it.

Sean: This speeddating is having a very positive effect on me. In the past I wouldn't have bothered much with girls I didn't fancy but the speeddating forces you to speak to everyone for a few minutes. I must say, I have been pleasantly surprised. I have met all sorts. Good looking, not so good looking, interesting & not so interesting, shy & not so shy and mostly all very friendly & extremely nice. And I have made a few new friends. If I am not careful I might actually turn into a nicer person.
