Our Sunday events are usually scheduled to begin promptly at 7.30 with registration at 7.00pm. Midweek events (Waterford) are a half an hour later with check in time at 7.30 and the event starting promptly at 8.00pm.

The speed dating should take about 2 hours including a half time break of 15 minutes. The real serious business of marking your card usually takes place now and can take up to a half an hour. People are usually in high spirits after the event. The night is still early enough and many head for the bar or whatever and very often the craic can be mighty.

You now know at least fifteen other people so you shouldn’t have much of a problem mixing in the bar. This can often be the best part of the evening.

Waterford and the South East.

We would like to take this opportunity to say a few words about events in Waterford. We held our 1st event in Waterford on Thursday 31st January for 30's & 40's. The event was sold out and it was a good night. Some would say a great night. However a few guys got cold feet at the last minute & never turned up which didn't help matters. Because our 1st night was a bit of a novelty we had a mixture of ages. Some too young & some possibly a little too old. Most were warned before the event but were still curious and wanted to come along.

However we are very optimistic about future events planned for Waterford and depending on the response we would like to improve on the service if possible.

The next event for 20's & 30's on Thursday 28th.Feb '08 was a great success with a great mixture of people from all walks of life. So come on guys & girls in the South East, don't hang about. Book now before all the best are taken.

Helen. Well you know what? I never had such a great time. I've been laughing & smiling to myself all day thinking about last night. I really, really enjoyed it.

Sean: This speeddating is having a very positive effect on me. In the past I wouldn't have bothered much with girls I didn't fancy but the speeddating forces you to speak to everyone for a few minutes. I must say, I have been pleasantly surprised. I have met all sorts. Good looking, not so good looking, interesting & not so interesting, shy & not so shy and mostly all very friendly & extremely nice. And I have made a few new friends. If I am not careful I might actually turn into a nicer person.

Group Discounts

We realise some people would prefer to attend in groups and we try to encourage this by offering discounts. It all adds to the enjoyment of the evening.

• €2 per person for two person bookings
• €3 per person for three person bookings
• €4 per person for four person bookings
• €5 per person for five or more people booking.

Confirmations: As soon as you have booked you will promptly receive confirmation by e-mail or text.

Regarding the 20/30's age group events.

Our first planned event for this age group last September was cancelled due mainly to lack of support and we made a decision at the time to cancel future events for that age group. However we have had a change of heart since our 30/40's event 30th September. We have changed our age groupings a little so that each group is no greater than 15 years. The new age groupings are as follows:

20/30's .. Age 25 - 39
30/40's .. Age 35 - 49
40/50's .. Age 45 - 59

Our 20/30's event held on Nov 11th. '07 was probably our most successful event of all and every one of our 20's and 30's events so far have been a great success including last Sunday's event 17/2/08.
